Default Carlyle Youth Camp July 25th

The Illinois Federation of Outdoor Resources is holding it's Kid's Camp on Lake Carlyle July 24-26th.

We've been asked to teach bowfishing to the kids on July 25th (Saturday) 4pm - 6pm.

There will be two groups of kids, about 15-20 kids per group. I believe the age range is about 14-16 for most of them. (older than most of the youth we see at our other kid's events)

We'll be shooting from the shore at submerged foam targets and any carp dumb enough to get close.

If you can volunteer and help out, it would be appreciated. We could also use some more bows for them to shoot.

K and I are planning on bowfishing the lake/spillway before and after the seminar.

Let me know if you can help out.

Actually, I'm hoping to fish the spillway the night before. Then go to the Kaskaskia Shoot put on by SILO Bob.(DumbBass on this forum)
Then...go to the seminar and fish the spillway (or the lake) again afterwards.
Yikes! Busy as always. LOL
No wonder I feel like I'm 87 years old most mornings.

Thanks Phil and Brent. Glad to hear it. Any other takers?

I'll try to get some pics up of our fish from Monday. That will change your mind.

This is one of the biggun's It weighed 25lb 14oz. We saw one that was twice as big when we made our first trip up to the spillway bouys. I'll try to post pics of the entire (well almost) bunch. I have to say almost because JB's crew gave away several fish and we gave away four and put seven in the cooler. (cut up five and saved two for our friends). ...so the pile would be even bigger.
