My 8 year olds 1st fish with his bow

Today was a great day for my son Jake and even a better day for me. He shot his 1st fish ever with a bow. I was so proud I think everyone below the dam at Carlyle heard me hollar.

That's fantistic, I think my grand son was that age when he shot his first one. Just was wondering if you seen any bigheads while you were there? Would like to plan a trip down there 3 hours for us. so would like to go when conditions are better.

We got there at 6:30am yesterday we didn't see much till about 9:30 or 10:00. I shot 2 big heads aroung 15lbs each between 10:00 and 12:00. The gar were rolling so you had to snap shoot or not get a shot at all. I did see a couple other big heads but didn't get a shot. All in all it was really slow.....
