Default Finally stuck my first fish

After shooting an inch or two over the top of my first 15 shots, I finally stuck one. I think I could get hooked on this.

Nice job Gundogg!
Welcome to the gang that refuses to wait for the fish to bite.

....yeah, you and everybody else who's ever hit one.

Hey, I see you are from Hennepin. You should try shooting in the Hennepin canal.
LOTS 'O CARP....and you can do all your shooting from a paved walking path. Just have to have a way to haul away your fish.

I plan on giving the Hennepin canal a try, i live only 3 miles from it, take my dogs there all the time. Also hoping to shoot some flying carp on the river, just need to get a motor for my johnboat. I had numerous asian carp damage my bassboat last year, jumped into my windshield cracked itand dented my stereo speaker. Bloodied up the carpet pretty well also. Wont be bowfishing out of it. Right now ive been shooting the flooded backwaters of the illinois river from shore, the ditches arethick with carp and gar, just need more practice to hit them with a little more consistency.
