Default Duane C. on Nat Geo TV

I was watching an episode about people catching fish with their hands on the National Geographic Channel whenI saw Duane Chapman talking about the proliferation of silver carp on the Illinois River. He was collecting data from fish taken at the 2007 Redneck Fishing Derby in Bath Illinois.

Way cool!

What was the name of the show? I don't watch TV much (embarassingly, I did not even know how to turn it on or off when we had company over), and there have apparently been short pieces in several different shows on Nat Geo and Discover Channel. I can't keep track and have not seen most of them. Recently, there was a couple of minutes in a show called Weather Rampage, of all things (don't ask me why carp are in a Weather Rampage show, and don't ask me what a fish biologist is doing in the US Geological Survey, either - I could tell you but I'd have to kill you [with boredom]).

Hey Duane: the episode was entitled 'Hooked: Caught Bare-Handed.' It had three parts: noodling for catfish in Arkansas, calling for sharks in Papua New Guinea, and catching silver carp at the Redneck Fishing Derby. I'm sure it will be on again.

Well at least he put you on fish...

OK, so technically it was more putting the fish on you. [&:]

Judd, I almost caught that show.
Flipped past it twice while surfing, and ignored it because I didn't think it was anything more than noodling. Crap. I missed my Duane fix.

I think I settled for a military strategy or weapons show. Go figure.

Always wondered about that.
Have to get the scoop next time we go fishing.
