The 4th annual HBC will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. in north central Indiana. Check-in will once again be at Zimpfer Construction near Yeoman, Indiana (Oak Dale Dam). Legal shooting will be any tributary of the Wabash within the boundaries. New tournament boundaries will be anywhere north of I-70 in the south to I-30 in the north (all shooting to be done in Indiana). These new boundaries will ensure that fish records reflect shooting in northern Indiana. People may come from anywhere, but they must shoot within the tournament boundaries. The two-person team and numbers shoot format will remain as the standard for the HBC. Legal fish will be: All species of carp, buffalo (no other sucker fish), gar, dogfish (bowfin), and shad. Entry fee for the shoot is $50/team, and all money collected will be paid out for placings and all awards, so it must be paid in cash. We will continue to donate part of the proceeds to Fishing Has No Boundaries, which is a national organization, with a local chapter, that takes people with special needs boating and fishing. Placings will be paid out according to number of teams entered. As of now, we will pay out top five. We will also be awarding Big Fish (grass carp excluded), Big Common, Big-Head, Grassy, and Asian Carp, Big Buffalo, Big Gar, Big Dogfish (Bowfin), smallest carp, and Average Joe. These awards will be a mix of cash and prizes donated from our sponsors (To be determined by Dustin Houston). This year"™s returning sponsors are: Muzzy Products, AMS Bowfishing, Old National Bank (formerly Charter One), The Office Tavern, J&M Outdoors, Cajun Archery, Indy Spine and Rehab, and Altimate Lawnscape. All shooters will need to be registered by 7:30 A.M. on the day of the shoot. All shooters will leave at 8 A.M. after they have been informed of all rules and regulations. After being released by Dustin Houston (tournament organizer), teams will be off and will need to be within the tournament boundaries that are posted by 8 P.M. Any team that is not inside the boundaries by the deadline will be DISQUALIFIED. The team"™s fish and entry fee will be forfeited. This and all decisions will be made by tournament organizer.
