Cool, I'm up to about 20 so far this year. All from the yard.

I haven't yet found a 'wild' morel... ever. Just yard ones. I did find a single half-free in the woods last year but that doesn't really count.

How you cookin' yours Johnny?

After soaking in cold water. Remove, soak in milk. Put flour, salt and pepper in bag. PUT A few morels in bag, shake to coat in flour. Have skillet with hot oil ready. Put morels in and fry until brown. Repeat until all are cooked. I like them with a little ketchup.. some people use Crackers instead of flour. I find that harder to keep on the mushrooms..Hurry, season is about over.

JD walked into my office at lunchyesterday to borrow my bowl scale to weigh the morels he picked in his yard. He's getting 25 bucks a pound for them. Says he'd like to eat them himself, but I don't pay him enough for that.

I've never tried a morel; Jarad was telling me how good they are. Do they sell them in the stores at this time of the year?

Holy cow! There's one site selling them $45/lb!

They taste great but I would never pay for them.

It is waaay too much fun to go out and feed the ticks while you hunt fer them.
