Default Where should I look

Sorry to ask so many questions, but I have one more. The place that I bowfished last year was in the middle of a city, and I was told by the police that I could bowfish there as long as I was in the water. Now this year, they tell me I can't, so now I have to find a new spot. I was just wondering where are the most likely spots to find carp and where they will be easiest to shoot. The place I hunted last year was where a river widens into a big bay, and it had lots of carp. Would I be better off trying to find a place in the river, or should I look for a small bay? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Default RE: Where should I look

It depends on what you are looking for. I have always had luck any place that is flooded and drains back in to the river. Like any corp of engineers gates that drain in to the river would be a good place. Or a flooded lake or field that is draining back into the river. The bigheads and silvers feed in the water that drains back in to the river. I have always found gar in close to the bank around trees but have also seen them in the middle of a lake on nice days. I hope that helps.
