Clinton Lake Sunday 3-29-09
Met Jerod Poole and John Lundy at the West side ramp Sunday evening just before dark. Air temp was 39 and almost no wind at 3 mph from the NNE. Lake was pretty much baby butt smooth. Water clarity is improving even since shooting the same area Friday night. Most areas you could see 18 to 24 inches. I am reaaly beginning to like this cold weather bowfishing as long as the wind isn't blowing. Sure beats having to deal with all those bugs when you turn the lights on during the summer. We had the lake to ourselves. Thought maybe some die hard bowfishers would be out. John was shooting his new AMS bow and reel. In 3 hours time we managed to boat 11 commons with Jerod shooting a really big common but I forgot to bring my scale to weigh it. When we came in the temp was down to 34 with no wind and we had some frost on the boat. Sure beats a Sunday night at home watching tv.
