Default Im Here

Ejoe, JP, CHristine, I remember you guys from another internet place.

JP if you are here PLEASE PM me.

EJoe, thanks for letting the bug attack me, now I own 3 bows and no boat.

Christine, if you are still local I am looking for someone to get out with this year

CarpSniper, I think I went out on your boat a few years back, just wanted to say thank you for that day.

Another quick question, I am building my own arrows, where can I get the tip assemblies at? we dont have them at my store and I cant find them listed in the catalog yet. I was looking at the AMS tips but am open to other options.
Anyone tried a guilliotine broadhead with fish yet?

Other then that

My name is Ray, I run the bargain cave at the hoffman estates cabelas, have been since the day we opened. I ended up married with two tots, sold most the toys including the cars when this all came about, wife finally( after 4 years) let me get my harpooning equipment.

I look forward to meeting the lot of you and hope to do many outings this year and introduce my son to the fine art of aerial and submerged shooting.

Hey Ray, Welcome to the site.

I moved to Central IL. I still get up there at least once a month but I haven't bowfished on the Fox in several years. We have been going up to Wonder Lake to bowfish at their tourney and if they have a tourney there this year you should try and make it.

If you're willing to drive south, check out our list of events. http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=3149899 We can probably get you a spot on a boat again.

Ejoe and JP are over at Chicagoland Fishing's website.

For bowfishing points, check out Bowfishing Extreme and Backwater Bowfishing. www.bowfishingextreme.com and www.backwaterbowfishing.com

I use mostly muzzy, cajun and innerloc tips. A couple of the guys hereprefer the Shure Shot penetrator tips over the muzzy tips. Just a personal preference thing.

Hope to see you on the water.

I run the Bargain Cave, days off are sundays and tuesdays and i work 6a-3p the other 5 days.

I check here daily, please PM me if you guys need anything. If I dont have it in stock Ill find how to get it.

Sniper, its been too long, guess thats what life does to people. Im still broke but its a good kind of broke now.

There is another me running around now, he already has the fishing bug, and hes got the hunting bug( what 4 year old demands a max-4 bedroom?) and he just stares in awe when im in my sideyard shooting the block. Im going to get him that suction cup arrow/bow toy and a few 3-d animal targets when it gets a little warmer out.

Where can I find the projectile laws? Got a real shallow lake behind a friends subdivision just loaded with carp, ridgebacks everywhere!!!. Do I just call the police dept and ask or is there a compiled list out there yet since this sport has exploded in popularity?
