It's been years since I shot Sangchris, not since I got a 50 hp outboard. I don't remember there being many large carp but there were a lot of them. I do seem to recall that it was important to shoot the lake early in the year becausethe lilly pads would later choke off many of the shallow bays. Are there any rampsthat one could load on and use the trolling motor right off and find fish near by since an outboard won't be available for many. This is where I wish there was a 25 hp limit OR a no wake option. But that's for another discussion.

Pretty much any ramp you launch from at sangchris you are gonna be able to shoot right away. You are right about the size out there they all run about 5 lbs we have seen some bigger fish there also nothing like shelbyville but the numbers are there. The lake just has so many of them running around i just think it would be a great opportunity to help clean that lake up.

Sounds like a good lake for a 'numbers' format shoot!

Is this a lake where you can launch a boat with a 50hp motor, as long as you don't use it? (Like Evergreen Lake)

Sounds like it would be good for a fun shoot. (maybe even one of those like we do up in Wonder Lake... the one on one challenge)
