Looking for 2009 Nominations for President and Secretary for the Illinois Bowfishers

Greetings to all active Illinois Bowfishers club members,

It's that time of year again for accepting nominations forthe two upcoming openings on the board of the Illinois Bowfishers Inc.The two positions that will become available in2009 will be for the President and Secretary. If you or anyone you know are interested in serving in either of these two positions, please email me here at huntingnet.com or send me a PM. Once nominations are made, we will be sending out ballots in the nextfew weeks. Please don't hesitate to jump in even if you feel that you might not have the experience or knowledge of others inregard tobowfishing. It's not the prior knowledge but the energy we're after, in order that wemightcontinue to build upon what the club has already accomplished in the past and continuemoving the club forward intheright direction. Well, I couldn't find the old posts, but a few of us did make nominations a while ago for these positions. I remember the one nomination I made, the person wasn't interested, so I'm going to second Christine's nominations; Mike Steffa for secretary and Luke Whitkanak for President

I thought there was a nomination thread too but I couldn't find it.

I'm actually putting together a newsletter now. (i know... gasp!) So hopefully we'll have some nominees listed. Otherwise we just have to strong arm in some new officers.

Well, I nominate Ms. Joanne Chandler for Secretary and Mr. Bill Kingore for President. I feel both would do an excellent job. And let it be known that I am not presently under arrest by the attorney general so you should at least honor my nominations, unlike someone else I know.[:@]

All members that have given me an active email should have receivedmylatest request for nominations on December 30th. If you didn't receive an email from myself then please send me your email as this is how you will have a chance to vote for officers. Those that don't have access to a computer of course will be able to mail in their choices.

Matt and Chevy are excellent choices as well. I know Matt is expecting a new baby in Feb. but maybe he's up for the job.
