BigHeads!!!!

Well we have went 14 times and killed about 8 bigheads, it seems they all got washed down river, we see 1000's of little 1-2#ers, but no big ones.. I think they were piled up there last year due to very little rain, just have a feeling it isnt going to be any good this year, I hope I'm wrong, but only 5 weeks til bow season and it will be over for me til next year..

When the river is up, they move to the tribs. Seems like this year the river has been up so long that the fish just are not returning to the big river. Not many fish in the mainstem rivers in Missouri, either, but they are loaded up in the tributaries. With the lower water (finally) they are starting to move back to the big river. Lots of little fish, though. Big spawn year. I think a lot of fish spawned so hard they may even have died. Not sure how siginificant that is, but the fish we saw when they were finishing up the spawn looked terrible.

Bigheads disappearing? That would be a disaster....

They just got us hooked and now the Big ones are gone, why, why, why

we are seeing tons of little ones but nothing big...and you know IDNR, in ILL we arent worth a crap and Managing for TROPHIES!!!!!
