Default Good Carp Shooting

Louie and I hit Kennekuk Cove's Lake Mingo the other day for some Bowfishing after some pole and line fishing was a bust, and the Big Carp were up in the lilly pad choked coves.
Here is a pic of a nice one Louie got
Goog thing I took the pic with Louie's Cell Phone , Cause if I had the camera with me it would of been camera #2 I would ruined in the water, Yep I slipped and fell in the lake, I really need a Water Proof Camera like Christines for Christmas ( Hint, Hint Louie )
We headed to the New Water Foul area on the East End on Clinton Lake yesterday to shoot some Carp, We were walking the Levey and shooting Carp off the Levey and wading, the area is great for shooting Carp from the banksand there are some Big ones there.Sorry No Pics but with my track record with cameras I didnt dare take the camera wading, I was just grateful not to fall in[8D]
I found the Biggest carp are contained in the area behind the Levey where they are letting the water out to flow into the lake , and on the edge of the lake where it butts up to the levey.
I hit a good # of female carp full of eggs and I saw alot of Carp chasing so what is this a 2nd Spawn?
In all I think we shot 14 Common Carp.

Nice shootin'! Sounds like you guys had a great day. And I know what you mean about the cameras. I'm on my 4th nice one now. I have no idea how many cheapies I went through over the years. At least 6.

Carp spawnat least2times a year. They're getting started up here too, but mostly in the warmer creeks.

I thought commons only spawned once per year and the Asians any time the water levelrisesquickly. They must be spawning away from the bank because I never have any luck wadingat this time of year.
