Default Ozarks

Next week I plan on going to the Ozarks (Sunset Beach area). I was wondering if anyone has ever been to the ozarks to bowfish. I know there are carp and buffs in the lake but not sure if there are any good places that they are around the surface. I will be there from the 4th-9th to do some fishing and maybe some bowfishing. I will post some pics when I get back.

There will be tons of boat traffic that weekend. The Lake sucks this time of year. You might have some luck if you can get WAY up an arm where little of the pleasure boat traffic goes. If you're anywhere near the dam, you might have better luck below it on the Osage. It has silvers, bigheads, grassies, occasional buffs, and gar. If a lofront moves through, you'll be shooting till your arm falls off.

Yeah I will be staying with my aunt she has a house on the lake. Thats for the tips though. She lives on one of the coves off the lake. Not really sure where cause I have never been there but I will find out. I prolly wont leave the cove due to all the traffic so if there is nothing to shoot in the cove im SOL. But Just in case I will have my crappie and bluegill tackle.

then below the dam might be your best bet if you're near there.
