Decent day at horseshoe

We went to Horseshoe lake today(My dad, My friend jason and myself). It started off very slow as we were exploring new spots and then went to a place we normally see fish and started to get in them. We were run off a bit early due to almost sideways rain and hail but other than that we had a good day and a great time.

We ended up with 22 Buffs 19 gar and 10 carp. I was able to shoot a 12lb buff, biggest I have ever shot. Also I think I may have shot a black gar. I took a picture of it just to make sure.

Nice, we have shot a couple of those Dark gar there also, wild coloring...

Nice black gar. I've heard all sorts of reasons why some are colored like that. From mud to breeding coloration. Whatever the reason, it's a unique catch!

Yeah it was pretty cool. I didnt take a picture of it but we did get a very dark almost black buffalo. Not sure what the deal is with it but I thought they were both very cool. Thanks.
