i am going to head out to the des plaines over by big basin to shoot some carp, maybe even some gar. i will be out there around 8:00-8:30 and shoot till my batteries are dead. so if i see ya out there, good luck.

I'm finishing up planting the veggie garden tonight with my daughter (and some Clinton Lake carp). Then she goes to bed about the time you'll be heading out.

May make it Sunday during the day if weather looks OK though.

well the results are in, we shot 15 commons, 10 buffs, 1 shad, and 2 suckers. it was a good night, but we had a little trouble. the trolling motor started to mess up about an hour into the shooting. then we wound up on a big sand bar and were stuck for about 20 minutes while i tried to push us off of it. made it really intersting, but once we go into the fish we were in them for the rest of the night. pictures are coming soon.
