Default Ky Results

Back from Ky dam. Shot sunday night from dark to 3am. Seen tons of fish. They were everywhere. The river is still very high and cloudy. Only could see down a foot or so, with with big heads that is enough. Would turn on the light and see any where from 3 to 50 at at time, but boy were they spooky. You had to be ready to shoot when the light came on. Mr. Extreme boated the first fish a pretty nice 26 pound one. So his new bow got some slime on it finally. Boy does it shoot great. It hardly makes a ripple when the arrow hits the water. I drove and spot lighted most of the night, letting him and his dad do most of the shooting. We boated 23 for the night. only seen 2 gar for the night. Every day that goes by it should get better. We than went up to Shelbyville lake on Monday afternoon. It is lower than i have ever seen it. And cloudy too. It was just about the same as rend lake was a few weeks ago. We only shot an hour and got on common and one buff.

Did you get a chance to look at the 'super secret bighead' spot I mentioned?

Very nice Johnny!! I like the second to the last picture. I can't wait to shoo a bighead.

How do you know when to turn the spot light on?

Steve, If it is a calm night you can look toward any background light and you can see the ripples on the top of the water. You just east up, draw flip on the light and let'er fly. Other wise you just flip on the lights every few minutes. It is really easy when you get the hang of it. Some times you can even shoot them with out any lights on at all. The only hard thing is when you flip on the light and there are 50 fish in front of you. Hard to pick just one with them all diving for davie Jones locker.
