RE: Needed: Tips or tricks to make for better bowfishing
Mark and I have a few ideas, but I think we may be better off just showing everyone when the boat's done. One of them is to bring an extra troller, ALWAYS, (it'll have a designated spot), and another involves a small microwave (since we have a genny{two in time}on board) and it's own compartment. Seriously. A couple boxes of Cup-o-Soup and some instant coffee (hot-chocolate for Mark) and we can fight off fatigue, staying sharp till the end.
Another is to keep sleeping bags in their own dry-storage spot and an anchor for when we need a nap on the lake during those long over-night shoots. Food, comfort, and..... well we haven't worked out shelter yet, but with all the storage-compartments he's gonna have, we could probably sqeeze into a couple of them during those familiar showers we seem to run into more often than not.
The best tip I could offer would be to keep a very-well-stocked tool-kit on board. And know how to use it. Everything from mechanical to electrical tools and replacement items.
Other than that, I just keep spare reels, strings (portable bow-press when I bring my compound), nocks, gloves, etc with me at all times. Even when I'm walking the bank or wading somewhere I have my tool-box in the van.
