Default newbie here, will pay for gas

I am new to bowfishing, but love it so far. Alas but I have no boat as of yet. I am looking for someone who is going to the fun shoot in may and might be willing to take me along in their boat. I will pay for gas. I am also looking for someone who wants to go on the illinois and get some grass and some flying silvers as well. I live in oglesby which is not too far from starved rock. So anyway if anybody wants to help this redneck out give me a shout my email is taplin3@sbcglobal.net

Hi Scott. We should be able to get you on a boat for the fun shoot. It's also a good lake to shoot from shore.

Welcome to the site!

When you turn 18 you do not need a license to take a boat out. But if you want to take a boat out before then and yes you do need a license.

Yeah what he said. The only thing is if you plan on going to missouri if you were born before a certain date you have to take a safety test if you want to drive a boat on any lake in missouri. Unfortunately I missed the cut off by like 2 months. So even though im 24 and have a valid drivers license I have to pay missouri to take a test. Sorry to derail the thread. Welcome and if you are ever around the st louis area hit me up I will take you out on the illinois or some of the lakes in the area. I will be out on horseshoe all weekend long doing some killing.
