Default FYI - Your KY Lake Trip

Just an observationfor your tourney on May 3rd and 4th. I was visiting my folks and chasin' long beards from April 12th to the 16th, along withdodging rain drops and sleet, but the Eggner's Ferry bridge and highway 80/68are due to be widened to 4 lanes. Construction is all ready under way on the road and it would appear that the new lanes are going to be on the South side of the existing road. The camping areas directly across (North) from the boat ramp at Fenton are gone and the area is kind of a mess. You might want to double check with the KDFWR or somebody to make sure access to the ramp will be available. Went fishing on Tuesday (4/15) and all you could see of the boat ramp was the top of the highest point to the East. Just enough room to turn a truck and 18' boat around without getting the front tires wet. The lake was reported to bedropping at around 6" per day but it did not seem like it that day. Caught a few nice bass and a couple small cats, wish I would have brought the bow though. Saw a couple of bigheads that would have topped 10 or 12 lbs. Anyway just a "heads up" for y'all.

Thanks for the heads-up. Gas prices may just keep us closer to home though.[:@]

More than 600 miles on the road, plus gas for gennys and outboards can be painful.

The UBK Carp-O-Ree is a favorite of ours.
