Default We got us ANOTHER boat

Not to be out-done by my partner, I too came home with a boat yesterday. Not in quite as many pieces as Mark's, but close.

Someone cut the gunnels off most of the boat. And it's got damage on 3 of the four corners. My wife said even if someone gave it to me, I got ripped off.

I told her she had no imagination.

It's a couple feet shorter than Mark's old boat, but it's just as wide. We'll just have to make more trips to dump fish.

It's gonna take me longer to fix the repairs than it's gonna take me to rig it for bowfishing.

But it's got 4 good seats. I think it'll work.

Oh yeah, baby. It looks a lot better in your driveway than it did inours.

Just remember Mike (Kaskaskia Bigheads) took that beautiful boat out on the river with a gillion batteries and a crew and filled it with fish.... and he's still alive.

Tell Dina, I think she's right!

I can't wait to see it in the water. (OK ...ON...the water would be better.)

I gotta agree with Christine also. It does look better in your driveway. [:-]

a diamond in the rough. It has potential some TLC and you will be ready to go. It wont be pretty but it will look good with a few hundred fish in it and thats all that matters.

Uh, yeah.

Hey, I know!
Pull it behind the one Mark is making and use it as a fish-bucket-dinghy-thingy. You'll just have to throw them a bit farther than usual to them in.

You must have good welding skills; good luck and post a pic of the 'after.'

I got it all cleaned out and demoed today, and I got some key pieces of wood milled and ready to go on. I think I have everything I need to run the electric and even put an elevated deck on it. The biggest problem I have is that my hot-water tank in my house is going out and I need one full day to replace it. A day I don't have. And we still don't have an outboard for it. We're really gonna need one on Rend.

Nope, no welding skills at all, at least as far as aluminium is concerned. I can weld, but never got good enough to weld aluminium. No, it's all gonna be fixed with wood, wood-glue, some urethane-glue and bolts, nuts, washers and deck-screws. Billy and Luke are right, it's gonna be a great little bowfishing rig. It's hard to see underneath all that ugly, but it's there. I just hope I have enough time to 'bring it out'.
