Well since it is at Clinton it would almost have to be a numbers. Or you could do so many carp and 2 buffalo or something. As i have been told there is buffalo in there, as yet I have never seen one. Time O'Dark thirty to 7am- 10 am??

Who are you calling a golden carp? Does the whole team get one or just the boat captain?

If the Golden Quillback is up for grabs, then I'm in. Definitely a numbers shoots for carp, special bonus for a buff. Question is do we get a dumpster? How do we handle fish removal? If we are to keep costs cheap, have everyone dispose of their own fish? but then again with just a little participation, we could end up with a thousand, two thousand or more. I think that will be our greatest concern. How many did we bring in at the last Carpbusters shoot held there?

Johnny, there is only one brass carp. (or golden quillback as the Robster calls it)

A daytime shoot might be better than a night shoot. Maybe.. If the carp are spawning the daytime shooting will insane. A daytime shoot will also accomodate the shore shooters (there are several in that expressed interest in this shoot). We could have both a daytime and night time shoot if we can figure the time and help for it.

Fish disposal is an issue. We took 1,100 carp at Carpbusters and that was some tough shooting conditions.

Johnny B, have you no reverence?
Is there more than one Mona Lisa, more than one Sistine Chapel, more than one Robster? eh forget that last one but you get the point. There can only be ONE Golden Quillback so the winning team must share.

Oh BTW,do you think the Clinton Lake Park guys would provide a dumpster for the Robster?

I doubt we'll see that kind of number this time, since we'll have half the time and probably half the teams. However, it is possible and very likely that we will have more than anyone needs to fertilize their tomatoes. I did talk with Dean Adams about finding a suitable farm field. He will also let the Raptor rescue group from Decatur know and we'll contact our rehabber folks as well.

Here's my idea on the format, Numbers to determine the winner of the "often coveted golden carp". Big fish pot for carp and buffalo.
Anyone wanting to compete for the "often coveted golden carp", put in 10 bucks to cover any cost of fish disposal and door prizes. First place will be the "often coveted golden carp". And as you've all seen by Rob's bitter resentment of some long forgotten quillback issue , there is no second place. (J/K Rob)
The winner of the "often coveted golden carp" will take the responsibility of putting on this fun shoot next year at the location of their choice. And again the "often coveted golden carp" will be the trophy. This would make the "often coveted golden carp" a traveling trophy as had been hoped.
