First trip

Could not stand it any longer. Sun was out slight breeze, so I headed to Jacob's creek. Well was a nice drive. Did not see one fish. Water was a little high and cloudy. But clear enough to see a fish if they were up. Stayed bout 1/2 hour and drove home. Worked on the boat most of the afternoon. Got my new seat bracket mounted for the rear shooter.

I went out yesterday too. Just wading, but had the same results. Didn't see a one. Water was up and cloudy here too.

I can't wait! It's just killin me. I'll be working on my little plastic boat this week and probably this weekend also. I'll be powered only by push-pole for a while, but I've spent a couple days doing that in the past and it don't hurt me none. Beats sitting on the couch.

Well you two are more ambitious than I. The other day, I did go thru my tacklebox cleaning and repairing items and finally I made a new string for my Oneida and reserved another so I'm ready to go. Now if I just had a boat that wasn't in storage.

Rob, I went and picked up my boat on Saturday while the ground was still froz. I been working on it the past two days. I got a new seat bracket mounted on my back seat. Took out the old floor and styrofoam under it and put in all new foam and new floor. My motor starter was not kicking in. Kendall suggested that i see if a local electric shop would fix it. Yep, found one here in town. Only took 5 bolts to remove it. Said i would have it back in 2 days. Sure beats taking it down to Terre Haute to a dealer. Just the gas would have been expensive both ways. So i should be ready to go by the weekend. Mr. Extreme is coming in town, so grand pa better be ready. Also got all the batteries charged. Not got to get the genny down and running. My try a night trip to Georgetown lake. Weather permitting.

Glad to hear that saved you some time.
I took the day off to take the CIRFCU over to Buell's for the outboard upgrade. While I was there a guy stopped and started asking about the CIRFCU and wanted to buy her. I don't know how serious he was...
