I took my nephew out with me this morning. It was his first time hunting, and boy what an experience he had! Here's what we got;

10 points, and it ran within 15 feet of Joey! He was in a blind about 70-75 feet from me and got front-row seats to the whole thing! What a lucky little snot. We weren't in the woods 2 full hours. I hope he doesn't expect that every time...
Joey saw where the buck entered the woods, found first-blood and helped with the whole tracking-job. He didn't miss a beat! The deer went about 80-90-yards tops. I think it was a one-lung/liver-hit, althoughI was really amazed how fast the deer fell. I thought we were going to be at it for a while, but from the way I heard it, from first sight to last crash (he crashed twice) was about 30 seconds. I couldn't have asked for any of it to be better. Everything was perfect!
