Default Anybody still bowfishing?

Cliff and I made it out for 2 hours yesterday. We went to that Water treatment facility that I got permision to shoot on last year. Boy the carp were thick. They have some air difusers out about 20 yds for the shore all the way around. The fish were stacked up shoulder to shoulder. It was like launching morters at them. I would hold way over them then shoot and watch the arrow arch through the air and down into them. Got several that way. Then we decided to use the small fiberglass boat. Cliff pointed out all the tape and said it was full of holes, Boy was he right. We went out i found a piece of wood for a paddle, We would ease up to the mound of fish count to 3 and shoot. I even got a double. We had to go back to shore three times to empty out the boat of fish and water, mostly water. Ended up with 12 fish with several pull off's. Cliff even hit on on the head, the shot was so far that the arrow bounced off. With it being so hot over the weekend, I think Bill, snuffy and I are going to hit it again..

We'll still get out there sooner or later.

I hear the bigheads are up in a big way on the Mississippi near Alton.

There's a good chance I'll be heading to Clinton tomorrow night.

I'm still stuck in that terrible place that exists between the end of my bowfishing season, and the first time I get out after deer. Next weekend should find me in the woods, even if the deer don't.

Still been going and still been good. Have shot both bigheads and commons with eggs in them recently.
