Default Met up with Suckersticker today

Well I got out today for the first time in weeks.
Happened to run into Suckersticker and his Dad.

My poor motor had issues with all the weeds and fish were scarce near shore, but I managed tofind enough fora newbie to get a shot at a decent carp. It was a hit, but didn't stick. Maybe next time.

Nice to meet you both. Congrats on the fish.
Hope to see you guys out there more.

It was nice to meet you too. sorry to hear about the fish and the motor. were they in that cove i told ya about? after you left we patrolled the deeper weeds and shot a couple more big commons and a couple more gar. we even saw a gar that looked to be pushing 5 feet. shot at him and missed. figures. but maybe i'll see ya again sometime.

Close to 5 feet? That's a nice gar. Sorry to hear you missed it. Now you have something to look for though. Maybe you'll find him again.

Video would be good.
We always have so much fun sticking fish that we forget to film it.

Carpsniper, there are some nice gar out there on the DesPlaines.
They hang out along the gravel bars and drop-offs. The newbie I had with got to see one over 3 feet right next to the boat. It dove fast and we had no shot.
