Default Muzzy Tricor Tip Sharpening?

Can you sharpen these things or do you to throw them away when they get too dinged up?

Oh yeah. I have tried several different methods of sharpening them. The trick is to keep them even. Without building a fixture to hold them it is tough, but do-able. A file will work but a grinder is way better.

I like the grinder too.
I use the round side of my 5" wheel to get a nice hollow grind like from the factory. That reminds me, I need to get a smaller grit wheel for sharpening other things.

fishpoint, the club has several packs of replacement tips still available. (special discount for members)

We have the Muzzy carp tips and Cajun carp tips. Both are two to a pack.

I've started using the Cajuns. They fit on the Muzzy point but are much harder.

I'll bring both types up to Wonder Lake.

I'll need some Christine. Judd, I've sharpened mine to the point where I removed all the metal on a few and had the threads showing through. I used a screw to mount the tips to and hold onto while I sharpen them with a file. I know the grinder would be many times better.

I like the "unscrew and toss into the water, then replace" method best.
