Need your help

I got a call this morning from one of the DNR Biologists in need of some carp. They are going to be trapping turtles and need some fresh fish for bait.
Soooooo, how about we get together on Clinton Lake this weekend?
We could make it the "Turtle Cup".

Saturday? Sunday? Both?

where is clinton lake. i may be free and if you want some backup i might be able to attend. so just let me know. i am always up for a good shootand meeting new people.

Clinton Lake is about 40 minutes South of Bloomington, in the town of Clinton. Less than 3 hours from up here by us.

just let me know if you want some company i will be able to make it. i have my own boat, but it is only 12 foot long. will that be big enough or no. i don't know much about the lake but i am willing to learn.

Clinton is pretty big. A 12' boat is on the smallish size for it but if the wind isn't bad it shouldn't be a problem. (if the wind is up, it rough with our 18' boat)

We could also go to Evergreen Lake instead. It's a bit closer for you Suckersticker... it does require a boat permit tho'. (I can't remember how much it is) Evergreen is north of Bloomington.

I might have to go up to the Chicago 'burbs sometime during the weekend.. .so maybe I'll end up shooting up there at DCA. ???

Christine, I'd love to get out on the Illinois again. It's been a while.
If you are coming up with the boat, we could do that.
Without the boat, we could still hit the shores at DCA or wade in one of my other spots.

That would work for me. I suggested Clinton 'cause of the sticker cost at Evergreen. The sticker is $16 per day or $45 per year for nonresidents of McLean Co. $16 seems a bit steep, but it's probably cheaper thanthe extra gas it would take driving toClinton and back.
