Default good day

my father and i went out on the des plains and we were searching for a grass carp that we had seen. low an behold we found him. just 10 yards from the boat we wacked him. but let me tell you how the whole day started.the day started out with me waking up to find a note that said i was now a member of the illinois bowfishers association and my dad was going to be home shortly and for me to ready the bowfishing gear. so we headed out and were out there for an hour and we found him and killed him. then we fished for a little while longer and ended with a grassie, 4 buffalo, and 2 commons. not to bad but the grassie made it all worth while. here are some pictures.

My dad and me with the grassie:

Awesome fish! I thought I had seen a grassie about that size last year, but wasn't 100% sure. I KNEW theyhad to bein there!

Welcome to the club William. Your folks won't regret signing you up. Now we just have to get you to some of the shoots down south so you can meet the rest of the club. Just watch out for Christine; she can be a little scarey.

Nice fish! I think that's the first I've heard of someone taking a grass carp out of the Desplaines. But I haven't been around that long.

Great job William!

Welcome to the Club!

BTW, I might be scarey to Steve, but then he's scared of little things like cobwebs, so how bad can I really be??

Better let him form his own opinion. He'll learn soon enough.

Anyway Suckersticker, now that you're a member, you can add to the Club's annual fish count totals. Anytime you get some fish, just post a short summary of what you got here...

...and then see the totals rack up here...

Last year was our first year keeping track, and we scored on over 6,000 fishies!
