newbie's first trip

i took a buddy of mine out today for his first bowfishing trip.the morning found us out at dca on kelly road. after about an hour we had not seen anything so we moved to the des plains river near I55. we were there no longer than ten minutes when my friend arrowed a nice buff. at the end of our trip we ended up with 10 fish. not to bad for 3 hours. i was not shooting as much as usual because i wanted my buddy to get a few and it worked out pretty well. he had fun and that is what it is all about.

Nice shootin guys. And nice fish. Looks like you got a couple good ones there.

yeah the top couple ranged from 8 - 12 pounds they were not to bad. it was definitely a fun shoot.
