Default Csgrizz's Boat Lighted! Pics

Well, CS and I got his boat all wired up today. 5 - Hallogens with 300 watt bulbs with a Wen Power 3500 genny. It went together very well, and was a fun project. Hopefully we'll get to try it out next weekend.

Nice job, bet you cannot wait to use it. I'm taking a newby our tonight for his first ever bowfishing trip. You should really be happy with the Wen Gen. Snuffy and I have one and have not had a ounce of trouble. I like how easy to start, and efficient to run. I have 4-500 watt and one 300 and it runs all night on one tank. Congradulations

I believe his boat is a 1652.

Sweet job!

I do have one question though. Did you make it so you can lay the lights down when it's on the road? The reason I ask is 'cause it looks similar to how my brother mounted his lights and they would shake like a hula girl on speed when he drove to the lake. He fixed it by putting a union on each one so he could lay then down during transit.

Another hint might be some kind of rail or brush guard. I have had my back light broke off 3 times so far from branches hitting it.

We didn't put a union on theses. The really are hell for stout though. I can grab one and shake the boat. But the true test will be it's first trip to the lake. We had talked about puting a rail down each side, and still may... Just have to see how things work first.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments.

A huge thanks to dukmn80 on this project. It wouldn't have been done if it weren't for him. Those "light standards" are pretty solid. I think they will pull out of the deck before they break.

But like it has been said...its a continous trial and error process. I had a great time, so if we have to improve on it we will just have another project day!

I am sure it will be fun testing it out!

later,

CS
