georgetown again

Snuffy, Kbi-prez in Snuffy's boat, me and a newbie in my boat hit Georgetown lake again last night. We had a pretty steady night. weather was perfect. not a breath of wind and very few bugs. Ended up with 41 commons in the boat. My poor Newbie (Cliff) still has yet to hit a fish. This is the 4th time that I have had him out. He has never shot instictive. From day one has always used a sight. So is having a hard time making the transition. Just cannot get him to show low enough. He hits right where the fish are, but as well all know they are not there. He really loves all the shooting and said he is not about to quit,as long as we keep taking him he will come. Just cant wait till he nails the first one. But may have to take him to Ky to shoot a big head so he can hit one. needless to say, the snuffy crew whipped us. Was home and in bed at 1am. Poor snuffy he has to get up at 4:15 for work. Short night for sure.

Sounds like perfect weather.
Those nights are rare.

Maybe Cliff can practice shooting at something stationary in a foot or two of water. Since people tend to shoot where they are looking (that's why they hit deer in the antlers), maybe he should actually LOOK at a spot below the fish instead of at the fish itself. Just an idea. Everybody has a different trick.
I hope you find what works for him.
