Default long nose and grassies

well after seeing the weather report for sat nite we decided against going south to shoot in the carp-o-ree. I thought i would hit a little local water instead. Bill Shelby his wife and little brother all came along. about 15 min into it we boated a 23 lb longnose. we were on top of the world. they were everywhere!! we shot 20 longnose over 15 lb.got a few grassies, buffs, and commons. saw lots of silvers but couldnt ever get into em much. kristina had to leave at dark and luke came down to take her place. he ended up shootin a 25 lb longnose then we teamed up on a 24lb. had a awesome night. slept for a few hours then went back at it. the longnose were a little more scarce but made up for it in grassies. problay seen over 150. most 15-25 lb. lost some brutes to the brush.headed back today totry it again.

Wow Slim,
You sure do get into some big ones down there.
I may just have to make a trip down that way again this year.

went back today and the water had fallen out. also lost the water clarity. shot one longnose that weighed 16lb and lost another at the boat that was in the 20lb range. missed 3 more. the grassies were gone. took a newbie out and he flat wore out the little gar and a few silvers and commons. gota wait on more backwater. may try carlyle this weekend.
