Clinton Lake Spawn Is On

I hit Clinton Lake twice in the last week and the Spawn is on. They are rolling in the shallows, up in the flooded grass and weeds and feeder creeks. I have been mostly hitting the West side coves and they are loaded with carp.Hit the coves over by the West Side Day Use Area... what a Blast. Gonna take the hubby there to bowfish Friday afternoon if the weather cooperates.
CAUTION.. for you bank walkers... Watch out for Skunks I accidently walked up within 5 feet of a skunk ....... I ran like I havent run in a long time for a big girl, luckly he had his back to me and didnt see me and spray me... ThankYou Lord

Congrats on the 3-4-1 Lady Forge! One of these days I hope I am as fortunate. Turkey hunting has had me wrapped up this last week. I should get some time to go this weekend....Looks like the weather is going to cooperate! Going out to Dawson on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Hopefully I will be able to poke a few!

I was there on Wednesday, I found the carp very thick along the banks of the lake at Mascoutin ( or how ever you spell it)just west of BooneDocks Resturant they were both feeding and spawning ... and over by the West Side Day Access Area back in the cove's..... but they were more feeding than spawning.
