Occasioanlly, when I only have an hour or so, I go to a local creek and shoot off the bank, heck I've shot off the bridge before, under the bridge, etc.
The banks are high about 10 feet, and you can get a good look down into the water...
Just wondered if there are any other bank creepers out there?

Yep, I have a nice creek that I shoot at. It has fairly high banks 6 feet or so. I have found that I aim where i think and then add a foot usually works.
Well, I'm creepy and I shoot from the bank, so I guess I count.
Up here by the big city it's tougher to find spots where the law lets you walk the shore with a bow, but there are still places if you look hard enough.
I prefer to wade or use my tiny 8ft boat, but bank shooting was all I did for my first 20 years or so. Like you, I still do it when time is short, or when the bottommakes ittoo dangerous for wading.

When they're spawning, I prefer to walk the bank.I wear my waders so when the brush on the bank gets thick,I can wade out a few feet and then move back to the bank.
When they're not spawning, bank walking isless productive.

Very true. Wanna boat during the off-season.

Great responses... I guess we are so few and far between, that other than going to a shoot, we just get all our favorite spots for bank creepin to ourselves.
