Default swan lake, calhoun co.

was there this afternoon, stop log structure is opened up and pouring water in from the illinios river. lake is filling up. hundreds of gar rolling in the swift water. i am taking the boy's up in the morning for a good shoot, anybody that wants to tag along we'll be up there around 9:00 am. no boat needed.

Did you guys see lots of dogfish? I've only ever gotten one and Kendall has yet to get his first.

yes!!! stump lake in jersey co. is full of them, we seen several 20" + fish up next to the bank on the fowler lake side of the rock levee. the water on the north side is clear, can see down 3' or more, would love to get a boat in there at night! our boat isn't quiet ready yet. casey shot one 27 1/2" long, 9lbs. 2 oz. sunday. it almost pulled the bow out of his hands. had another one hooked up at least that big but pulled off. they are crazy fighters!!!

That's a new IB record and also bigger than the current Bowfishing Assoc. of America record for IL.
