Default Ice

Well I took a quick trip out to Vermilion Hill Fishing club this afternoon to check it out. Considering it is a power plant cooling lake I figured there would be some open water...NOT..Was I Shocked to see the whole lake froze over. and with the cold weather this weekend it is going to get worse before it get's any better. So those little wigglers are safe a little while longer..

I just got in from fishing our lake out here, and there's at least 7" of ice here. I remember from high school science class that warmer water freezes faster than cooler water, so I'd be willing to guess that the ice on that lake is probably a little thicker.

It's gonna be a while before we can shoot anything I think. Thank God for crows, coyotes and icefishing!

I think I'll just turn on the space heater in the garage, fill up the kiddie pool, and head to the pet store for some 29 cent goldfish.

Hey you gotta do what you gotta do.
Trying to hit those little buggers ought to keep me busy for an afternoon or two, or at least until I tear a hole in the bottom and beach all the fish. []

I don't know whether to recommend professional help or ask if I can come over and join you.
