Add'en to the fish count
Well just could not pass up this nice sunny day. Took my side kick Pete the wonder dog up to Jacobs Creek. Got there about 10 and shot to 1pm. There were carp all over. This time of the year is a real challenge. Even on a sunny day the sun is so low in the sky that you cannot see. It just kind of skips off. The creek was really clear as they are this time of the year. But the fish were really hard to see and extremely spooky. This creek runs through farm country so there is little cover, just a high bank on both sides. I would see some carp up the creek, I'd back up slip around and up on them and they would be gone. If you stood really still they would swim up to you, but when you would draw they would spook. Any how I managed a 4#, and a nice 13#, had two pull off one was in the 10# range. I did loose one arrow too. I can see it sticking in the bottom of the creek, but no way was I going to swim out and get it. It was fun and I'll do it again first chance i get
