Default This Weekend

We're going to get a brief warmup, and I know a lot of you will be on the water trying to shoot a few last fish of the year. Good luck,be careful, and lets see some pictures when you're done.

I'm pretty sure we're gonna try going out. Winds are supposed to be 20-30mph tho'. [][]

Jason's right, be careful out there. (I guess this means I shouldn't push Steve in for entertainment)

Well the wind died down Saturday night at dusk. I loaded up the boat and we were off to Clinton. On the way we called Uncle Dave for back up and he met us at the ramp. We got going a little after 9pm and stopped a little before 3am
There are pictures coming, including a new STATE RECORD quillback. And nothe shooter isnot who you think. Dave got a nice 10# carp.

The barrel was FULL! We haven't even counted them yet. I'm headed out to do that as soon as the coffee starts to work.

Here they are.

El Presidente with her new IL record Quillback.

I had a record for a few hours. There were at least three quill back taken that would have broken the old BAA record.

Uncle Dave shows he knows how to find the big ones. His near ten pound carp was the biggest fish of the night.

Spray coming over the bow of the CIRFCU as we head back to the ramp. The wind picked up the whole time we were out. The honda clone generator died for good last night. Good thing we brought the other one along. Anyone need a blueanchor?

41 fish, 32 carp, 9 quillbacks = one good time.

Hey, congratulations on all the fish! And congrats on the new record Christine. Very nice. And nice carp Dave.

Too bad your record didn't last at least till the next time you guys went out Kendall. But nice shootin' anyways.

Johnny B. that is your red rhino in that picture. I finally got it out and gave it a good try. I didn't try it before changing the pins but it sure seemed stout enough that night.
I'm making up more pins and you can try them for yourself. I'll send them back with the reel. Thanks for letting me try it.

Notes of the evening:
1) Hey, the little genny is working!

2) I lose my first arrow ever.

3) Kendall shoots 3lb 8oz quillback (beating the current record)

4) Little generator goes out in a large cloud of inky smoke and pool of oil. We declare it officially dead.

5) Swap gennies, notice bathrooms are locked for the season.

6) Dave shoots biggest carp at nearly ten pounds.

7)I shoot a 4lb 6 oz quillback, beating Kendall's. heh heh

8) Kendall wins title of "Champion of the World" by shooting the sudden death championship fish. (we let him have it)
