Default Outdoor Illinois Magazine Article

A big thanks to Joe Mcfarland for joining the group and writing up this article!

If you guys don't get the official Illinois Department of Natural Resources magazine, check out this nice article they just published.

Joe Mcfarland did try his hand at bowfishing that night and got a carp on the second shot! I hear he has since bought himself a bowfishing set up and has been chasing fish around all summer!!

Kathy Andrews (publisher) requested a bunch of gar scales from us. I've boiled a bunch up and am shipping them off today. She's going to use them in her Becoming an Outdoors-Woman class as part of a natural crafts project. I'm going to try and hook up with BOW and WITO (Women in the Outdoors) next year and see if we can get some bowfishing classes in the curriculum.

Very nice.
Good pics, and great job making the contacts.

Just was wondering who the stand in was for the picture of some one with his back to the camera. Way too good of form to be the same kendall we all know and love.

And there's a fish on his arrow. Looks like a stand-in to me.

I don't know how you guys find the time to do all this stuff, but I'm glad you do, for the club and forthe outdoors. And I'm glad you share it all with us.

See, that's why you're my hero Christine.

Great article!!!!!!!!!

Hats off to all of you club members for doing such a great job promoting the sport!

Thanks Kendall and Uncle Davey for introducing me to the sport! Although I am looking forward to bowhunting, I'd still rather stick some fish!

Later,
Mikey
