Ultimate outdoorsman looking to become a guide.

Hi, i am a very experienced and knowledgable hunter looking to turn my life passion into a career. I am somewhat lost as to how this process works, i have found schools but i do not think i need schooling. I am 23 and live in central ohio, i hunt fowl, turkey, upland game, deer and predators weekly year round. Due to my job i have not been able to hunt as much as id like in the past two years but before age 20 i had killed five bucks over 150 gross inches. I also am a very well versed fisherman and have fished and placed in both walleye and bass tournaments. I have very great social skills and vast general knowledge of mechanics and geography. Any insight into this subject is much appreciated, outfitters would be the best message i could see. Thank you.

If you want to become a guide for someone out in the western U.S, then I would highly recommend going to some sort of guide school prior to venturing into something like that. This country is totally different than anything you have encountered, and having the best training possible is the best way to succeed in this business. I have worked with outfitters for the past 16 years and I don't think there is any job harder than that of a high country outfitter, with 19-20 hour days the norm. Hope that bit of info helps.
