Canadian Wilderness Outfitters (CWO) in west central Manitoba Canada home to more record sized black bears than any other province, currently has 6 openings for spring or fall bear hunts. With CWO you will be guided by Scott Smith who has 20 + years hunting/guiding experience with Manitoba bears and deer as a small family run outfitter or Mark Groner who has 3 + years of guiding deer and bear in Manitoba along with 10 + years of working in very remote wilderness areas. With the combination of experience of these two extraordinary guides we can give you a hunt of a life time in west central Manitoba Canada.
We are located 5 hrs north west of Winnipeg, MB in a small community know as Minitonas, MB which part of several communities that make up the Swan River Valley . We are nestled between to large tracts of aspen parkland also know as the Duck mountain and porcupine provincial forest and parks. The are is home to deer, moose, elk, wolves, as well as an array of waterfowl, song birds and fish species, not to mention our trophy sized black bears more than any other province.
In Manitoba our spring bear season runs from April 25 to June 19 and the fall season from August 29 to October 9.you will be hunting 6 days over very active bait sites with multiple bear activity, with an average of 30 - 40% colour phases it is not uncommon to see blondes ,browns , and chocolates on a daily bases. Here at CWO we can accommodate any style of hunting whether it be archery (traditional or compound), black powder, or rifle either from tree stands or ground blinds.
If the right bears shows up on the first day don’t feel bad about tagging out early because we will make the rest of your 6 day hunt enjoyable. Whether you are interested in fishing in our new 20’ Lund Alaskan for trophy lake trout northern pike, walleye, rainbow trout, brook trout, our some of the hybrid trout including tiger, splake, or spar. Or maybe you would like to see the sights of our gorgeous area whatever it is we can accommodate, but let it be know our # 1 priority is getting you a bear.
We are currently offering 6 bear hunts for spring or fall at our lowest price yet $2850/person for a 6 day hunt that covers everything tags, food, lodging, etc. We can accommodate single hunters or groups of two or more up to 6 people.
