What Africa Game is simular to Whitetail Deer ?

Hi guys, i have been asked a very interesting question, now i have never hunted whitetail deer myself.

What African antelope offers the closest experience to whitetail.
this is in challenge as well as in size.

I would suspect Kudu, but i am not sure.

What do you guys think ?

This is a real question, i have someone who asked me that question,
and my assumption was that the whitetail forums would be the best place the question.
