Shane Holcomb from GA holds his buck, taken at noon on the second day of his first rifle season hunting my lease. He had seen big bucks scouting the day before season and opening day, but held out until he couldn't stand it anymore.
The one on the creek bank was taken by Dan Dougherty his second day Bow hunting 2008. This was his first buck with a bow! Great job!
These bucks were taken about 600 yds and two weeks apart.
These are definite shooters but not the biggest deer around. I've seen much larger bucks in this same area. You never know what's gonna come by at any moment. I don't make promises, give odds, or hold your hand while you hunt, but I do put you on prime property where you have this kind of opportunity. These are 100% fair chase hunts for wild deer.
