hunts offered: whitetail, muledeer, eastern and rio grande turkey, waterfoul
(meriam turkey hunting may be available soon for this year)
Our Eastern Kansas turkey hunting terrain ranges from rolling hills, to river bottom land, crop land, cattle feedlots, and hardwoods. The groups of turkeys can range in size in the winter from 50 to 600 turkeys as our habitat can support an enormous amount of hatching grounds with great habitat. In the spring these big groups split up, making our toms scatter around the land without hunting pressure to most of our turkeys. The hunting action never stops from morning to night, giving our hunters many opportunities at many different toms. We allow our hunters to kill 2 toms with no extra costs. Many of the toms have multiple beards, and most of the toms are shot with beards over 10 inches, many over 12 inches. Our guiding success rate has been maintained at 100% since woodland guides started guiding turkey hunting on our properties.
Our fully guided hunts let you choose whether you would like to call, calling in conjunction with us, or allowing the guide to do the calling. Our guided hunters have full use of our blinds, land, and lifelike taxidermy turkey decoys, as well as years of experience hunting the land.
Eastern Turkey hunting is provided with “do it yourself” hunting as well as fully guided hunting. Each person is allowed to kill up to two toms.
Rio Grande turkey hunting still has a couple spots available in may for a fully guided hunt. Right now our “do it yourself” Rio Grande hunting land is fully booked in western Kansas, pending new leases.
Merriam turkey hunting in Nebraska may be open soon with a 10,000 acre lease in western Nebraska. Whitetail, pheasant, and muledeer will for the first time be offered on this land as well. The property has lodging provided on the land in remote guest cabins.
Our rates for “do it yourself” turkey hunting: 4 day hunt, 2 bird limit, $200.
Our rates for fully guided turkey hunting: 3 day hunt, 2 bird limit, $450 for a single person or $400 per person if more than one.
all of our hunting is provided with references on request.
