Looking for Outfitter/lease near Grand Junction, Co.

Looking to hunt mule deer on a second draw tag, or landowner tag near Grand Junction. I want to keep my bonus points, and bring the family to visit dear ol' Ma' in Grand Junction during the 2008 3rd rifle season.

I prefer DIY public, but am willing to pay moderate tresspass fees to hunt quality private. Minimum standard is 165-170, meaning I will eat the tag if I can't shoot that or better. Would like to hunt where I can see and stalk 170 plus animals. I'll consider a guided or semi-guided option.

We have a guided hunt in unit 61 which is south of Grand Junction. Unit 61 is one of the better units in Colorado and we feel like we have one of the best outfitters in Colorado. We can get landowner vouchers too if the hunt is booked early enough but the landowner vouchers have gotten pretty pricey, $1500 this last season, but you just about have to use a landowner's voucher for unit 61 unless your willing to put in for the draw for a few years to draw a tag.The hunt for 2007 was 5 days, $3,000, meals and lodging, not sure if there will be an increase in price for 2008 yet. Great unit with a great outfitter. Usually 100% on their mule deer hunts low to upper 170's to low 180's for an average on their deer plus they do shoot some bigger ones for a top end too. The horns on the far right is an example of their average. I think they scored mid 170's. The elk on next to the mule deer is our hunter too in unit 61.
