Not sure if many people would want to hunt in Romania, is there even deer there? We have plenty of wild boars here, so it doesn't appear you're offering something we don't already have.
I am from Romania, lived and hunted there until 1995.
Here is the deal on this: Romania has Russian wild boar, elk, roe and fallow deer, bears, lots of small game too. It"™s not bad at all. The problem comes with the organization, they are trying now to change the legislation and looks like they have no clue how to do it.
First they have private lands in small parcels which are leased by the local hunting clubs, but this type of hunting with outfitters is done on government lands, the so called ROMSYLVA agency which is the equivalent of your State Forestry Departments and US Forest Service. That is all public lands. But instead of allowing the Romanian hunters to hunt on these lands for a decent price, the Romanian mafia bosses in the government sell all the big game to foreign hunters for big $$ through all kinds of private outfitting agencies. It is all coruption typical of the East European style. It stinks!!
Just imagine how it would be for the Forest Service and/or your home state Division of Forestry and Game and Fish agencies instead of allowing you guys to hunt for an afordable price, they work with private outfitters and sel an elk tag for $10,000, or a bear for $15,000, or a deer for $5,000 to some rich Russians or Chineze. And the locals hunt rabitts and quail, if they have not sold those too for $100 a piece to other wealthy strangers (like the Italians take them in Romania).
This is how Romanians understood capitalism: take something that belongs to everybody (game animals) and sell it for your own profit, make millions and be happy. Who cares about the Romanian average hunter, he is stupid anyway!
So it is, now you can go hunt there, make the Mafia richer, cause they neeeeeeed it badly!
How about I take you guys there to hunt corupt government bosses and Romanian Mafia theives... for free?

..I just discovered you're member of the romanian hunting forum as well...And there you have a quite different oppinion about our legislation and the evolution of the hunts in Romania ...slowly-slowly we advance...but the romanian hunter situation is another story-like this we can discuss about thesituation of the native hunters in other countries too....I'm curious..what's your opinion about the african hunting? The same? How about the asian hunting?About Bulgaria,Poland too? Cause there is the same system like here...
I think you're the first one who have this impression about the hunt in Romania.(Maybe 'cause you have romanian origins...i don't know...).All the hunters who were here have only good things to say about the organising of the hunts,about the country...I saw your pledoirie and i was speachless...so i just copied and past it on our forum where you're a member too...just to see what others have to say.
For Younggun308- yes,we organise hunts in Bulgaria too..but there is mostly the same species like in Romania (here we have Deer,Quails,Wild Boars,Ducks outside Danube Delta ,African Turtle Doves ,Stag,Ducks and Geese in Danube Delta,Chamois,Geese,Skylarks,Partridges, Pheasants and Rabbits,Woodcocks,Fieldfares,Fallow deer and Moufflons ,Bear,Wolf and Lynx Capercaille .
