Private Land Cow Elk Hunts:[/align]This New Mexico elk hunt occurs on one of the largest ranches in Northeastern, New Mexico, Vermejo Park Ranch, 600,000 acres of totally private land. This ranch holds one of the largest elk herds in the state of New Mexico, usually counting around 10,000 animals during the winter surveys. The cost of this hunt includes: a guide and transportation [/align]during the hunt. The hunter is responsible for his / her motel, other meals, personal gear, weapon, and license. They have run a 100% hunter success for the last five years. They have harvested 176 cows for 176 hunters on these hunts.[/align][/align]When the cow is harvested it is transported to Raton to the meat processor for skinning and processing. Hunters are responsible for handling their arrangements with the processor.[/align]

Sorry to hear about your family emergency. Hope it all turned out OK. I wish I had something left open for you but our DIY hunt has been closed to bookings and is full. We still have openings for the guided hunts 2x1 guided $850 and 1x1 guided $950. You have to have 2 hunters to book a hunt as 2x1 guided.
