Happy New Year everyone. I'm looking for 3 serious bowhunters for a 9 day Trophy Caribou bowhunt in AK. I am not a guide. I have obtained a coveted Wood Tikchik State Park Permit for Nishlik Lake, from September 1st-9th. These are extremely hard to come by.
This is a Trophy Caribou area has very limited permits and outstanding animals. The exact location will be made available once I talk to you about your intentions. Unit 17B is a one Caribou area with gentle hillsides and scattered brush along the lake and surrounding tundra.
If our group scores early on our Caribou, moving on down to Lake Chauekuktuli is possible for Moose.
This would be an intense 9 day hunt, with easy terrain at Nishlik Lake and more difficult terrain at Chauekuktuli. Outstanding Trout fishing is available at Nishlik, where small -medium Spooners at the rivers inlet catches many fish.
I am looking for 3 good bowhunters as our permit is good for a party of four. Costs will run approximately 1200 per person to Nishlik via Freshwater Adventures (
http://www.freshwateradventure.com/Html/about_us.html ). Add 700PP if we go to Chauekuktuli. Caribou tag is 325, AK License is 85. If you have a frequent flyer miles on AK Airlines, your airfare to Dillingham is free. Food estimated at 100PP. We will bring all Camp Gear. We do have an option of a Raft with motor, 250PP.
Total estimate is 2000-2500 for the 9 day adventure.
Please let me know, via email and include your phone number as I will contact you. The first 3 dedicated bowhunters to contact me gets to go.
Thanks and have a good hunt year.
