We still have a few openings for our CO private land archery elk hunts. These hunts were fantasic last year. We had 6 archers (2 per week), they got 100% shooting, went 5 for 6 on bulls (83%), and two Pope & Young bulls (33%). The largest bull netted 325. The only hunter who didn't take an elk was holding out for a big one and then missed. We have two openings for Sept. 13-18 and one for Sept. 19-24. Both should be great weeks because they should be at the peak of the rut.
I am a booking agent and my outfitter leases 5700 acres of private land in northern CO. The property is loaded with elk (~250 resident herd) and also moose. Accommodations are in a deluxe lodge with a 14 acre trout pond out the back door.
